Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef (80/20)

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup grated carrot

  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley

  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup ketchup

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tsp mustard

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment or foil.

  • Sauté onion, garlic, and carrot in a pan until soft. Let cool.

  • In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except the glaze. Mix gently.

  • Shape into a loaf on a tray or in a loaf pan.

  • Mix glaze ingredients and spread on top of the loaf.

  • Bake for 50–60 minutes until the internal temp reaches 160°F (71°C).

 

  • Let rest 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use oats for a gluten-free version.

  • Combine ground meats (beef + pork or turkey) for richer flavor.

 

  • Freeze slices for easy future meals.
