Ingredients

  • 12 cherry tomatoes

  • 12 mozzarella balls (bocconcini or ciliegine)

  • 12 fresh basil leaves

  • 12 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

  • 12 tablespoons balsamic glaze

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 12 small skewers or toothpicks

Instructions

  1. Rinse and pat dry the cherry tomatoes and basil leaves.

  2. On each skewer or toothpick, thread one cherry tomato, one basil leaf (folded if large), and one mozzarella ball.

  3. Arrange the skewers on a serving platter.

  4. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze.

  5. Sprinkle lightly with salt and freshly cracked black pepper.

  6. Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

  • For added flavor, marinate the mozzarella balls in olive oil, garlic, and herbs for 30 minutes before assembling.
