30-Minute Honey Garlic Chicken (Sweet & Savory!)

A quick and delicious 30-minute honey garlic chicken recipe made with tender chicken, fresh garlic, and a sticky sweet-savory glaze. Perfect for busy weeknights!

Ingredients

  • 600g (1.3 lbs) chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 4 tbsp honey

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Optional: chopped green onions, sesame seeds, chili flakes for garnish

Instructions

  • Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper.

  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  • Lower heat to medium, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.

  • Add honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and sesame oil. Stir and simmer for 1–2 minutes.

  • Return chicken to the pan, toss to coat, and cook for another 2–3 minutes until glazed.

 

  • Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use chicken thighs for extra juiciness.

  • Add red pepper flakes or Sriracha for a spicy kick.

  • Works great with tofu or shrimp for variations.

 

  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
