600g (1.3 lbs) chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
4 garlic cloves, minced
4 tbsp honey
2 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp sesame oil
2 tbsp vegetable oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional: chopped green onions, sesame seeds, chili flakes for garnish
Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
Lower heat to medium, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
Add honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and sesame oil. Stir and simmer for 1–2 minutes.
Return chicken to the pan, toss to coat, and cook for another 2–3 minutes until glazed.
Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
