1 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 lb Italian sausage or ground beef
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup green bell pepper, diced
1 cup marinara or pizza sauce
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 can refrigerated pizza dough or crescent dough
1 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease 4 oven-safe ramekins.
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium. Add onions and sauté until soft, then stir in garlic.
Add sausage or beef and cook until browned. Add mushrooms and bell pepper; sauté for 3–4 minutes.
Stir in marinara sauce, oregano, and chili flakes. Simmer 5–7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Place mozzarella and Parmesan into the bottom of each ramekin. Spoon in the hot filling.
Roll out dough and cut into squares slightly larger than ramekins. Drape over each, sealing edges.
Brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder.
Bake for 15–18 minutes, until the crust is golden. Let cool for 5 minutes. Serve inverted or in-bowl.
Use puff pastry for a flakier finish.
Make vegetarian by using extra veggies instead of meat.
Add your favorite toppings like pepperoni or olives for variety.
